Scope Of Services
The organization had, since its inception undertake a wide range of projects covering disciplines ranging from civil, structural, geotechnical and project management. Apart from these, each individual associate of the company, had, in their individual capacity while (formerly) in employment with other engineering consultancy organizations, undertaken several projects of note which are highlighted in their individual curriculum.
Zaki Engineers Sdn. Bhd., although relatively young company, had a proven track record obtained either collectively or individually through its professional stakeholders. The company, therefore, are confident of offering a high level of professionalism and technical expertise in the following services.
Civil Engineering
a) Earthwork planning and design including optimization of cut and fill quantities, slope stability analysis, design of temporary drainage, sedimentation basins and other erosion control structures.
b) Road alignment and location studies, including the design of highways, roads, bridges, underpasses, retaining wall etc.
c) Drainage system for urban and rural areas including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of drainage catchments, flood mitigation, retention ponds design etc.
d) Water Supply system including conceptual planning, network analysis and design of reservoirs, pumping stations and water reticulation network etc.
e) Sewerage system including conceptual planning and design of sewerage treatment plants, pumping stations and sewer reticulation network etc.
Structural Engineering
a) Foundation planning and design for buildings, bridges and other structures.
b)Building structure design from conceptual to construction stage for reinforced concrete structures and steel structures for low and high rise buildings.
c) Infrastructure design for bridges, reservoirs, drainage channels, control gates, jetties, retaining wall, sewerage treatment tank etc.
Bridge Alternative Design
a) Reviewing the suitability and workability of alternative design proposal with value
b) engineering and optimum cost.
c) Alternative design for post-tensioned T-beam with modified stressing sequence to shorten
d) the concrete curing time in order to speed up construction progress with shorter time
e) requirement for pre-stressing.
f) Modification of precast segments in order to minimize cost of handling and speed up
g) construction time.
h) Provide solution in bridge construction while providing consistent technical solution and
i) rectify construction issue i.e. cracking at end block, drainage, temporary work, deck slab
j) and plinth thickening.
k) Design and analysis for highway and rail bridges supported by post-tensioned T-beam,
l) pre-tensioned TM-beam, U-beam, box girder, precast segmental with balanced cantilever,
m) segmental box girder and Warrant truss steel bridge.
n) Project cost estimate, taking-off and BQ.
Geotechnical Engineering
a) Investigation program by in-house soil investigation contractor including soil boring, field testing and laboratory testing of obtained samples to determine the properties of the subsoil.
b) Study of the geotechnical parameters, interaction behavior of foundation with soil, predicting failures, anticipating the performance of foundation with respect to loading and soil behavior.
c) Analysis and design of shallow and deep foundation for low and high rise buildings, bridges, marine structures and retaining wall, and preparation of geotechnical report.
Project Management
a) Project Management covering project budgets, project initiation, planning and investment, government contract administration, quantitative and qualitative research in property development, project coordination and Public Private Partnership.
b) Overall planning, control and coordination of the project throughout the inception, conceptual, construction, completion and design warranty period in compliance with signed-off contract agreement.
Town Planning
Layout planning and design for development projects including advising clients on suitable layouts for various terrains, preliminary costing, preparation of reports and plans for submission to the local authorities.
